About the Conference
The Southern India Mills’ Association (SIMA) established in the year 1933 by Sir R K Shanmugam Chetty represents the entire textile value chain in South India and plays a lead role in all the policy making bodies of Central and State Governments in South India. The Association has been enlightening the entrepreneurs and Captains of the Textile Industry by organizing annual CEO conference wherein, a lot of inputs where provided to understand not only the current textile scenario in whole, but to prepare themselves for future endeavour.
The CEO conference in the previous occasion deliberated on various theme spreading over in the vide spectrum of Raw materials, Finance, Power and Human Resources. Inspite of enormous efforts of the entrepreneurs, the prevailing business situation is alarming and the industries find hard to withstand the present 360 degrees competitive environment.
The Main theme “FACING THE FUTURE” and the Sub themes “LEADING THE WAY” and “DISRUPTIVE TECHNOLOGY & HR CHALLENGES” have been chosen keeping in mind the significant distortion currently prevailing in the domestic and International market, technology development, adoption of Industry 4.0 and emerging HR Challenges and give necessary inputs to the Captains of the industry, to achieve a sustainable growth rate.
This 13th CEO conference is being organized, coinciding with the SIMA’s 60th Annual General Meeting (AGM) scheduled on Monday, 9th September 2019 between 09:30 Am and 04:45 Pm at Hotel “The Residency Towers”, Avinashi Road, Coimbatore. The conference will bring in the eminent speakers across the country, who will throw more light on the prevailing Industry scenario, so as to overcome the challenges faced by the Industres and to cope up with the new industrial revolution.
